Mary "Pat" Reynolds, 88, of Belvidere, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at home with her children by her side. She was born October 13, 1933, to Fred and Halcyon Heusel. Pat married Wally Reynolds on September 6, 1953. Wally passed away December 26, 2012. Pat graduated from Lostant High School in 1951. Pat and Wally moved to Belvidere in 1960. Prior to moving to Belvidere, Pat was employed as head bookkeeper payroll at the bank. When moving to Belvidere after raising family, she was employed at Pacemaker Grocery for numerous years as head of cashiers and customer service.

Pat was an exceptional mother and wife. She cared deeply for her family, friends and neighbors. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was as a person. She was always first to offer assistance and/or to motivate others. She put others needs and wants way above her own. Pat, along with Wally, worked tirelessly to provide every opportunity for their children. Pat loved the summer outdoor weather, "The hotter, the better!" She also loved to bake - especially her famous cut-out cookies which many enjoyed and couldn't wait for more! She was the family seamstress, enjoyed in and outdoor seasonal decorating. Pat was one who would never turn down a glass of wine or a junk food munchie! Many proclaimed she was small in stature, but feisty and mighty!

She is survived by her children, Lana (Kurt) Kohout of Green Bay, WI, Randy Reynolds of Belvidere, IL and Karen Reynolds of Rockton, IL; grandsons, Brett Kohout and Tyler Kohout of Green Bay, WI; and granddaughters, Brandy Silvers (Reynolds) and Nicole Reynolds.
