Mary Lynn Rabideau, 60, of Belvidere, IL, passed away suddenly, Saturday, July 15, 2017. She was born December 1, 1956, daughter of Don and Jane (Storment) Jenkins. Mary earned her Bachelor's degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University. She married John Rabideau on October 9, 1982 in Rockford, IL. Mary was a 5th grade teacher for Kishwaukee Elementary School in Garden Prairie, IL, for 33 years. Mary was currently tutoring at Meehan Elementary School. Mary was a lifelong learner, who enjoyed old movies and musicals. She was an avid reader, loved history and enjoyed traveling to many places. She especially enjoyed time spent with family and looked forward most to trips visiting the children.

Mary is loved and missed by her husband, John; her children, Eric (Melanie Jones) Rabideau, and Shannon (Jason) Patton; brother, Mark (Joyce) Jenkins; and close relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family is requesting casual attire be worn for the memorial gathering.

A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m., with a time of sharing at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Midway Village or Anderson Japanese Gardens in Mary's name.
