Mary G. Morehead, 91, of Belvidere, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 in her daughter's home following a lingering illness. Born July 30, 1915 in Belvidere, the daughter of John and Florence Hamill. She married Henry Morehead in Belvidere, Illinois on May 29, 1937. Mary was an expert seamstress and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She and her husband Henry spent their summers at Leech Lake in Minnesota. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was also an avid reader. She is survived by her husband, Henry and daughter, Karen (Charlie) Hatfield, both of Belvidere; a grandson, Shane (Kim) Hatfield, Roscoe; two granddaughters, Stacey (A.J.) Halverson, Belvidere; Kimberly (Jeff) Franta, Loves Park; seven great grandchildren, Brooke and Hayden Hatfield; Mara and Collin Halverson; Quentin, Gage and Elle Franta; Beloved friend, Bev Gorham; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by, Parents and three brothers, John, " Bud", and Patrick Hamill.
