Mary Kathleen (Welch) Meyers passed away on December 12, 2018, in Galena, IL. Born December 28, 1946 in Shullsburg, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth "Betty" (Hocking) Welch. Mary was part of the 1965 graduating class at Shullsburg High School and continued her education at St. Anthony's School of Nursing. After becoming a Registered Nurse, she was employed at St. Anthony's Medical Center in Rockford for 42 years. Mary co-founded the Cardiac Rehabilitation center within the hospital community. She loved being a nurse and helping others. Mary loved spending time with her family, reading, and enjoyed watching movies and television.

Mary is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Rebecca (George) Meyers-Tomecki; sisters, Susan (Ray) Scott and Pat (Jim) Zurbriggen; grandchildren; Chase Tomecki and Skyler Tomecki; nephews, Nick and Aaron; nieces, Sara (Brand) and Amy. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A service will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., in Belvidere, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, December 22, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., in Belvidere, IL.  Burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
