Mary A. Goddard, 70, of Rockford, formerly of Syracuse, NY, died at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mary was born in Sterling, NY, on April 23, 1938, the daughter of Sylvester and Virginia Knup McIntyre. She was a CNA, employed by Plaza Nursing Home of Syracuse, NY, for over 24 years, and moved to Rockford one year ago. Mary was a devoted member of Grace Baptist Church of Syracuse.Survivors include two sons: Shane M. (Chris) Goddard, Rockford, and David L. Goddard, Syracuse, NY; brothers Gerald MacIntyre, Dover Plains, NY, Frank McIntyre in Texas, Lyman McIntyre of Syracuse, NY, Skip McIntyre of Hannibal, NY, and Matthew McIntyre of Sterling, NY; sister Sissy McIntyre of Sterling, NY; and seven loving grandchildren.
