Martin "Marty" Wayne Byers, 54, of Caledonia, IL, died peacefully in Caledonia, April 9, 2022, with his wife, Julie, kids and family by his side. He was born July 5, 1967, in Rockford, IL, son to Bruce and Ireta (Ewing) Byers. He married Julie Claeyssen September 20, 1997, in Rockton, IL at The Little Church On The Side Of The Road. Martin worked at Chrysler in the Material department for many years. He and Julie were members of the Rock River Riders and he loved to work on cars. He loved to travel to areas up north including Le Crosse, Arizona and North Carolina. They also traveled to "Byers Mountain" where his grampa lived. Martin adored his grandkids and family.

He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Julie; children, Amber Claeyssen and Tara (Dylan) Cox; brother, Ron (Pam) Byers; grandsons, Dalton Claeyssen and Zachary Walker; his parents, Bruce and Ireta; multiple nieces and nephews; and best friend, Clyde Henry.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
