Marlene M. Logan, 75, of Poplar Grove, Illinois died Thursday, March 26, 2009 in O.S. F. St. Anthony Medical Center. Born December 6, 1933 in Burlington, Iowa; the daughter of Kenneth J. and Mae (McCauley) Merriss. She married Maurice M. "Maurie" Logan. She was a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church; the Belvidere Moose Lodge and Catholic Daughters. She is a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Mason City, Iowa. Marlene is survived by her husband Maurie; six children, Jay (Yuko) Logan; Christine (Jeff) Cleaveland; Dennis (Mary) Logan; Julie (Terry) Stromquist; Kent Logan; Kurt (Kim) Logan; nineteen grandchildren, Dawn Dixon; Nicholas Logan; Grant Cleaveland; Erin Cleaveland; Brandi (Jai) Shanata; Ashli Logan; T.J. Stromquist; Miranda Stromquist; Kyle (Becky) Logan; Jarred Logan; Chelsie Logan; Dillon Logan; Maura Logan; Ann Logan; Trevor Logan; Casey (Jennifer) Wiggins; Stacey (Norton) Van Depoole; Tanya Christiansen; Angela (Kevin) Alderman;12 great grandchildren; a sister, Marcia (Claude) Funk; a brother, Kenneth Merriss, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Kielty.
