Mark Collier Waters    1957-2018

Mark C. Waters, 61, passed away Saturday, June 9th in Punta Gorda, Fl with loved ones around him. Mark was born in Chicago, Il , the son of the late Paul and Patricia (Collier) Waters. He was a graduate of West High School, class of 1975. Over the years, Mark resided in Co, CA, AZ, NC and finally in Florida as both a landscaper and waiter. He was a lifelong music enthusiast playing the string bass, guitar and harmonica. He was an ardent fan of "The Grateful Dead." He is survived by his sister Ann (Chris) Miller of Ashburn, Va., brother Bill Waters of Fort Myers, Fl., niece Marcie (Doug) Crawford of Rockford and nephews Andrew (Hannah) Miller, Ben and Chase Miller of VA.

Graveside interment service of Mark's cremated body will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery, 1011 Auburn Street, Rockford, IL.   In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Paul Waters Music Library, 215 N.
