Mark Anthony Todd, 73, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on September 25, 2025. He was born on June 24, 1952, in Tennessee. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Mark lived a life rooted in service, strength, and love.

He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, building the discipline and strength of character that would define the rest of his life. After his service, Mark spent over three decades as an assistant chief engineer at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was known for his work ethic and leadership.

On January 26, 1978, Mark married the love of his life, Yoko (Takushi). Together they shared 47 wonderful years of marriage and raised two children, building a family filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

Mark was known for being strong-willed and firm in his convictions, yet equally known for his goofiness and zest for life. His motto, "Party first, questions later," reflected his fun-loving spirit.

He had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing, and took pride in his lawn and working with his hands. A talented builder, he crafted toys and bedroom sets for his children and grandchildren, creating countless cherished heirlooms.

He was also an avid music lover, with an extensive record collection spanning all genres—another reflection of his rich personality.

Mark's legacy is deeply etched in the hearts of those who knew him. The lessons he taught, the strength he embodied, and the love he gave so freely will continue to guide and inspire his family and community. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived  by his wife, Yoko Todd; their children, Elizabeth (Joey Villarreal) Todd, and Donald (Tiffany) Todd; grandchildren, Tiana Todd, Ethan (Samantha Corbit) Stelter, Lily Todd, and Duncan Todd; great grandchildren, Ashton Todd, and Armanii and Giannii Stelter, he is also survived by two brothers, numerous extended family, and a host of friends he loved dearly.

He is predeceased by his parents, and brother, Donald C. Dalton.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
