Mark S. Reitz, 52, of Belvidere, died Friday August 1, 2008 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born July 1, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Peter J. and Eleanor (Giese) Reitz. He has lived 4 years in Belvidere, coming here from Elk Grove, Ill. He married Kim M. Jorgensen in Elk Grove, Ill. on April 9, 1983. He was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Kim, Belvidere; his father and mother, Peter and Eleanor; special dad to Jamie and Karrie Reitz and Nichol Speciale; three sisters, Kathy Reitz; Nancy (fiancé Terry Meisner) Firmstone; Pam (Mark) Fournier and brother Bill (Jan) Rowland; brother in law to Karen and Keith Bolte; and Christian and Amy Jorgensen; uncle to Yvette and John, Margie, Tracy and Courtney, Debbie and Tom, Danny (Danielle), Jason (Jenna), Michelle and fiancé, Kaleb; Stephanie, Jeff and Laura, Colleen and Dan, Joey, Juliana, Samantha, Joseph and very special uncle to many close family friends and great uncle to Jessie, Josh, Allen, Tyler, Anthony, Bailey, Nico, Michael, and Skylar. He was a nephew to Roland Johnson, George and Bernadette Giese, Mary Reitz, and Ann Reitz.
