Rockford, IllinoisMark A. Gargani, 46, of Davie, Florida and formerly of Rockford, Illinois died Thursday, May 3, 2007 after a sudden illness. Mark was born in Rockford on November 13, 1960 the son of Mario Gargani and Peggy Schlais. He was the warehouse man for P.O.D.S. Mark attended Rockford-West high School and was a fervent chess player and a committed NASCAR fan.Mark is survived by his mother, Peggy Schlais of Davie, FL; sisters, Rise Powers of Rockford, IL, Kathy (Keith) Magnus of Belvidere, IL; brother, Mike (Christine) Gargani of Port Orange, FL; niece and nephews, Ryan, Natalie, David, Lance, Jacob and Michael; special companion, "Simba" his cat.Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Mario Gargani.
