Marjorie "Midge" R. Carlson, 106, of Belvidere, died peacefully in her sleep on December 20. She was born August 10, 1916, in Belvidere, IL, daughter to Harry C. Clark, Sr. and Hattie (Wood) Clark. She married Chester E. Carlson on November 25, 1936 in Belvidere. Marjorie was employed with Clark Cab Co. in Belvidere and Anderson Brothers Manufacturing in Rockford. She also served in the Civil Air Patrol - Ground Observer Corp. Marjorie was a member of the Greater Rockford Association of Miniatures Society (G.R.A.M.S.). Her interests included designing and building miniature buildings and scenes. She collected dolls. A true animal lover, Marjorie especially liked to sit on her screened porch and watch the wildlife in her yard. She loved to read, sometimes reading as many as three to four books a week! Marjorie loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandkids, great-grandkids, and her two great-great-grandkids. Right to the end, Marjorie was a force of nature with a sharp mind, a sharp tongue and a dry wit!

She was loved and will be missed by her daughter, Jeannine (late Robert) Wensky; grandchildren: Denise (Bob) Hauser, David (Kelli) Wensky, Michelle (Mike) Dixon; great-grandchildren: Nathan (Amber) Hauser, Logan (Janelly) Wensky, Erin (Cody) Laseman, Alex (Katie) Larrabee, Ethan Hauser, Parker Wensky, Dawson Wensky, Chelsey Dixon; great-great grandchildren: Rylee Laseman and Maximus Hauser; foster daughters: Patricia Kenyon and Sue Couch; four foster grandchildren; close nephew, Lon (Kathy) Clark and numerous other nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Chester; brothers: Eugene Clark and Harry Clark, Jr.; sister: Mabelle Rice; son: Ross Carlson; daughters: Lana Carlson and Vicki Carlson; son-in-law: Robert Wensky, and grandson, Michael Wensky.

A visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Cory Whitford officiating. Private burial at Highland Garden of Memories. The family wished to extend a special thank you to Midge's favorite caregivers, especially Donna, Renee, Diana and Katie.
