Marjorie L. "Marge" Buzzell, 71, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, April 7, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family.  Marge was born June 7, 1946 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Harry and Lila (Ulrich) Papka.  She graduated from Genoa-Kingston High School with the class of 1964 and worked for several years at the Genoa State Bank.  Marge married Paul D. Buzzell on February 15, 1969 in Genoa.  The couple farmed together for 49 years in the Kingston and Belvidere area.  Marge also worked for 13 years in the accounting office of Northern Illinois University until her retirement in 2001. She made her spiritual home at First Lutheran Church in Kirkland where she was an active member, including serving on the church council as Fellowship Committee Chairman.  Marge enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. Her favorite activities included bird watching, traveling, gardening, sewing, monthly classmate brunches, and taking walks on the beach.

Marge is loved and will be missed by her husband, Paul; children, Brigitte (Jeff) Mickey, Lonn (Krista) Buzzell; grandchildren, Brooke and Hope Mickey; sister, Cathy (Harvey) Buckley; brother in-law, Wayne (Jane) Buzzell; sister-in-law, Karen (John) Hills; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Marge is predeceased by her parents; father in-law and mother in-law, Clarence and Mildred Buzzell.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, April 13 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL.  The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am at First Lutheran Church, 510 W. South Street, Kirkland, IL 60146  with Rev. Carl L.M.
