Marjorie A. Brotz, 80, of Belvidere, IL died, Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Marjorie was born July 9, 1933 in Poplar Grove, IL the daughter of Raymond F. and Gwenyth "Bea" E. (Goold) Peters. She married Mr. Donald H. Brotz who preceded her in death. Marjorie worked for many years at Farm and Fleet in Belvidere and retired from Wolf Chevrolet in Belvidere. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, playing with her great-grandchildren and loved working at Wolf Chevy. Marjorie was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Marjorie is loved and will be missed by her children, Ronald (Dorothy) Brotz, Pamela (Bruce) Schoonover; brothers and sister, Gene (Becky) Peters, Raymond (Linda) Peters, Chuck (Ann) Peters, Vicki (Ed) Kelly, Richard Peters; three Grandchildren, Crystal M. Murphy, Angela N. Howell, Danielle Brotz and four Great-Grandchildren, Skylar Howell, Keeley Murphy, Fallyn Murphy, Madlyn Murphy. Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother; and grandson Zachery.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services: Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dean Pierce, pastor of DeKalb Wesleyan Church. Burial will be in Livingston Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:30 to service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
