Marion A. "Ma" Johnson, 70, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a sudden illness. Born September 5, 1935 in Deerfield, Minnesota, daughter of Peter and Mildred (Pitzner) Stirens. "Ma" has been a longtime resident of Belvidere, moving here from Minnesota in 1966. She married Donald O. Johnson in Watseka, Minnesota on February 11, 1956. She was employed as a Bus Driver and Custodian for Belvidere School District 100. Member of St. James Catholic Church. "Ma" was active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary as a cook and coordinator of the Fish Frys. She help with the maintaince and acted as the Sargent of Arms. She was also a member of the Moose Club. In her spare time, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing, gambling and following NASCAR."Ma" is survived by son, Duane (Roxane) Johnson, Edina, Minnesota; two daughters, Mary Ann Masiulis, Belvidere; Debbie (Jim) Kenney, Walker, Michigan; four grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Johnson; Kelly and Kari Anna Kenney; a sister, Cathy Sylvester and brother, Leo Stirens; six nephews and four nieces. Preceded in death by Parents, Husband and grandson, Daniel Johnson.
