Marion "Mickey" Barbara Engelsen, 89, of Caledonia, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 in her home surrounded by her family. Born May 7, 1921 in Crystal Lake, daughter of John and Mary Lodtz. Married John Burton Engelsen on December 19, 1942 in Crystal Lake. He died on September 16, 1997. Marion was a member of the Davis United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, a Pink Lady at St. Joseph Hospital, member of the Oak Glen Grange, but mostly she will be remembered as a devoted mother and that her family was the center of her life.Survivors include daughters Sandra (Ken) Kays of Belvidere, Mary Jean (Randy) Rutledge of Hillsdale, IL, Barbara Engelsen of Caledonia, and Vivian Engelsen of Los Angeles, CA. Grandchildren Dennis (Debbie) Kays, Richard (Leah) Kays, Jay Rubeck and Jill (Brian) Hicks, great-grandchildren David, Stephanie, Nathan and Wade Kays, Jayme Rubeck and Amber Hicks, brother Norman (Alice) Lodtz of Crystal Lake. Predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter June Calhoun, infant son Jack and son-in-law David Rubeck.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to go to Northern Illinois Hospice Association.
