OBITUARYFrom: Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral HomeMarion I. Draper, 71, of Belvidere, died Sunday, September 24, 2006 in her home following a long illness. Born November 3, 1934 in Irene Twp., Illinois, the daughter of Ivan and Flora (Burton) Shawvan. Marion married Wesley R. Draper in Bradenton, Florida on May 31, 1953. She was the former co-owner of the Dari-Ripple and was a Realtor for Town and Country Realty Co. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Belvidere Board of Realtors. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, and playing cards. It is estimated that she made at least 100,000 or more bows for the Downtown Christmas decorations. Marion graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1953. She is survived by her mother, Flora Shawvan; four children, Pamela (Charles) Dietz; Daniel (Vicki) Draper; Barry (Tina) Draper; Dawn (John Werner) Latt; a daughter-in-law, Lisa (Dennis) Johnson; a son-in-law, Bruce Latt; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Dietz; Michelle (Mike) Sell; Catherine Draper; Tory Draper; Casey Draper; Ashley Draper; Sara Coleman; a great grandson, Trent Dietz; five sisters, Jeanette Frint; June (Horace) Gilley; Audrey (Jack) Smith; Carol (Emory) Heinze; Yvonne (Gordie) Shook; a brother, Ivan (Bonnie) Shawvan. She is preceded in death by her father, Husband, two sons, Timothy and David Draper, grandson, Jeremy Draper and brother-in-law, Jack Frint.
