Marilyn Dianne Simpson, 63, of Belvidere, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Northwoods Care Center following an extended illness. Born March 28, 1951 in Rockford, Illinois; the daughter of Dewon and Anne (Wilkerson) Smith. On July 19, 1969, Dianne married Danny Simpson in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a small business owner, a licensed Beautician and a Longaberger Basket Consultant. Dianne was a member of the Belvidere Church of Christ. She loved shopping, sewing and collecting baskets. Dianne graduated from Belvidere High School, Class of 1969 and Cosmetology School. She is survived by her husband, Danny, of Belvidere; 2 daughters, Tracy (Mark Rarig) Simpson, Woodinville, WA; Monica (Michael) Simon, of Belvidere; a son, Marcus (Lisa) Simpson, of Loves Park, IL; foster daughter, Susan (Andrew) Pearson; 7 grandchildren, Taylor, Abigail, and Mason Simon; Spencer and Riley Simpson; Justin and Jeremy Pearson; her parents, Anne and Dewon of Belvidere; and sister, Sharee (Larry) Burks, of Jonesboro, AR. And many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service 12 Noon, Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue.
