Marilyn J. Schoepski, 82, of Poplar Grove, IL died peacefully, early Thursday morning, May 29, 2014 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness.  Marilyn was born July 27, 1931 in Poplar Grove, the daughter of Floyd E. "Jack" and Eleanor A. (Taylor) Dimond.  She married V. Jerry Schoepski on May 20, 1950 in Belvidere.  Marilyn retired from the Boone County Highway Department after 39 years where she was the secretary and bookkeeper.  She loved her family.

Marilyn is loved and will be missed by her children, John (Dee) Schoepski of Roscoe, IL, Joseph Schoepski of Poplar Grove, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer Gober, Joseph Schoepski, Jr., Jarod Schoepski; Bethany Schoepski and Eric Schoepski; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Araina Gober; brothers, Robert (Monette) Dimond of Missouri and Richard Dimond of Belvidere; nieces and nephews.  Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Il with Pastor Danice Loveridge of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Highland Garden of Memories.  Memorials can be given in care of Hospice Care of America in Marilyn's name.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
