Poplar Grove, ILMarilyn Moses, 77, of Poplar Grove, Illinois, died early Friday morning, January 2, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a sudden illness. Marilyn was born September 26, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Walter E. and Caroline (Podella) Corduan. She married William J. "Bill" Moses on March 24, 1962 in Chicago. Marilyn attended the University of Illinois-Champaign and then worked as a bookkeeper for her family's business. She was a spiritual person and a member of Unity Church in Rockford and a member of the GFWC General Federation of Women's Club. Family was Marilyn's number one priority followed by hospitality and entertaining her guest. Cooking was her therapy. She enjoyed going to the theater and dining out, music and traveling in the motor home.Survivors include her husband, Bill of Poplar Grove; children, Nicholas J. (Deb) Moses of Winnebago, Illinois, Julie Bach of Durango, Colorado; grandchildren, Laura (Kyle) Smith of Pecatonica, Illinois, Joe Moses of Rockford, Illinois, Taylor Moses of Janesville, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren, Kameron, Adriana, Brielle Smith.Marilyn in predeceased by her parents and sister, Bette Beron.

A memorial will be established with the Poplar Grove Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum, 5151 Orth Road, Poplar Grove, Illinois 61065 and Tebala Shrine Air Squadron C/O Art Hass, 1217 Ramona Terrace, Machesney Park, Illinois, 61115.
