Marilyn J. DiGiovanni, 67, of Rockford, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 13, 1945 in Richmond Virginia; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Costello. Marilyn married Frank J. DiGiovanni in Rockford on May 2, 1998. She was a waitress who worked for many area restaurants. Marilyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Belvidere. She is survived by her husband Frank; of Rockford; two sons, Joseph Cartwright, Bonita Springs, Florida; Steven (Janice) Cartwright, of Massachusetts and a daughter, Melinda Marquez, Belvidere, Illinois; three step-children, Michael, James and Lisa DiGiovanni; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents and son, Todd Cartwright.
