Marie Griffis, 93, of Caledonia, IL died peacefully Wednesday October 10, 2012 in Northwoods Care Center after a lingering illness. Marie was born November 25, 1918 in Byron, IL the daughter of Urban and Edna (Grady) Crull. She married Marlyn B. Griffis on May 29, 1938 in Poplar Grove, IL. Marie was a loving mother to five wonderful boys. She was a member of Hunter United Methodist Church, the church's ladies aid society, Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed socializing with her friends.Marie is loved and will be missed by her sons Duane (Marjorie) of Davis, IL, Don (Sandra) of Irving, TX, Rodney (Julie) of Sycamore, IL, John (Carmen) of Plainfield, IL; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Marie is predeceased by her parents; husband Marlyn; son William; four sisters and four brothers; as well as her great granddaughter Chelsea Hofbauer.

Memorials can be given in care of Hunter United Methodist Church in Marie's memory.
