Marie E. Barr, 83, of Rockford, formerly of Belvidere, died Thursday, October 18, 2007 in Provena Cor Mariae Health Center following a long illness. She was born January 5, 1924 in Murdock, Minn., the daughter of Harry and Judith (Gustafson) Youngman. Marie married Dick C. Barr in Sycamore, Ill. on October 30, 1948. She was employed as a Lab Technician for St. Joseph Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1983. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Marie graduated from Sycamore High School and Medical Technology School located in Minneapolis. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Anderson, Belvidere; four grandchildren, Todd Sanders, Heather Sanders, Ashley Anderson, Austin Anderson; two great grandchildren, Tjaden Sanders and Jazmin Sanders; a sister, Elaine Sailor, Sycamore, Ill. and two nephews and a niece. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, brother, Raymond Youngman, two son-in-laws; and a brother-in-law.
