Marian J. Drexler, 85, of Belvidere, died at 9:35 AM Saturday, November 15, 2008, in Anam Care, following a lengthy illness. She was born December 1, 1922, in Pekin, IL, the daughter of Louis and Bertha F. Natschke Zimmerman. On June 15, 1945, Marian married William Paul Drexler in Taylorville. Marian enjoyed a 35-year career in banking, starting as a bookkeeper with Second National Bank which later became First National Bank, United Bank, First of America, and retiring as assistant vice president of National City Bank, all in Belvidere. She was a former member of the After Five Business Club, the Thursday Afternoon Sewing Club, and had attended Immanuel Lutheran Church.Surviving is her husband of 63 years, William, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Jackson Zimmerman.
