Margie M. Franks, 82, of Belvidere passed away peacefully Friday evening, October 9, 2015 surrounded by her family. Margie was born May 1, 1933 in Sommerset Kentucky, daughter of Vestal and Elva (Phelps) Hines. She married Robert Jacobson in 1959 in Belvidere, IL, in which they had two daughters Shirley and Colleen. In 1977 she married Duane Franks in Belvidere, IL.  Margie worked for AG Communications as a line worker.  She enjoyed working out in her yard, cooking, collecting figurines such as birds and butterflies, and she loved and adored her pets.

Margie is loved and will be missed by her daughters; Shirley (Dennis Hilton) Jacobson, Colleen (Jeff) Swanson; sisters, Joyce (Bob Hudson) Smith, Dessie O'Neal; grandchildren, Shawn Jacobson, Rochelle Jacobson, Zach Swanson, Ben Swanson. Margie is also survived by her 5 step children and their families and numerous nieces and nephews . She is predeceased by her parents and her husbands.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 in Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flower memorials may be given to the family. To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.Andersonfcs.com
