Margie D. Diamond, 91, of Garden Prairie, IL, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, December 22, 2017 at Northwoods Care Centre. She was born May 14, 1926 in Mangham, LA, the daughter of Aaron B. and Minnie (Jackson) Cheek. Margie married Charles J. Diamond on June 16, 1946, he preceded her in death on August 15, 1996. She was employed at Champion Packing for 36 years. Margie enjoyed working, music, traveling, shopping, and helping out in numerous ways at her church. Margie was a member at Garden Prairie United Church of Christ, the Eastern Star and a charter member of Al's Vagabond Camping Club.

Margie is loved and missed by her children, Charlene Stefko, and Charles (Sue) Diamond; grandchildren, Justin Stefko, Charles Marc (Kelly) Diamond, and RaeAnn (Joseph) Hrudkaj; great-granchildren, Emma Stefko, Charles Reid and Adelynn Diamond; sisters, Edna Nations, Ruth Knott and Lexie Forrester. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles, sisters, Joycie Cheek, Louise Pierce and brothers, Nolan and Buddy Cheek.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m., until 10:30 a.m., December 29, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at the funeral home with Rev. Dina Lauman officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery.
