Belvidere, ILMargaret P. "Midge" (Schwebke) LawtonMargaret entered eternal rest with God on October 1s, 2013t. She was born on September 1, 1924 to Emma (Fiebranz) and Albert Schwebke in Belvidere. She attended Belvidere schools. She married Norman Lawton on September 6th, 1941 at Lutheran Parsonage. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was also a member of Immanuel Ladies Guild, and a former member of Teamsters club #325. She was also a lifetime member and past president (1975-1976) of the ladies Veterans of Foreign Wars. Midge was employed at Midwest Bottle Cap, Woodward Governor and Washington Elementary School Cafeteria. One of her favorite things was go to Canada on fishing trips and camp with friends. They traveled throughout the U.S. after retirement enjoying their time together and sight seeing. As life went on, while sitting at the kitchen table, she and Nubbs enjoyed watching and feeding the squirrels along with the variety of birds in the backyard. They also enjoyed sitting in the backyard on the swing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Survivors include Daughters, Linda (Gary) Roush of Roscoe, Carole (Jim)Headrick of Tennessee, and daughter-in-law Sally (Larry) Lawton of Belvidere. Grandkids, Mark (Kim) Roush, Mike (Joan) Roush, Dawn Roush, Chris (Kelly) McKibben, Steve Lawton, Brian Lawton, Jerry (Sonia) Cooper, Eddie (Brandi) Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Denise (Matt) Storey and Jennifer Headrick. 20 great-grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids. One sister Phyllis Miller of Normal, Illinois. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband, Norman, parents, grandparents, son, Larry Lawton, sister Norma Nygren and 2 grandchildren.
