Margaret Marie Maggio (Née Manino)

February 13, 1931- December 7, 2025

Margaret Marie Maggio, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Maggio, her son Jeffrey Maggio, and granddaughter, Ruth Maggio, loving daughter-in-law, Ann Maggio; her parents Nicolo and Rosa (Sampere) Manino; and her siblings, Katie, Mary, Jennie, Frank, Pete, Louis, Lena, Buster, Pauline (Pearl), and Roy. Surviving family members include her sisters, Corrine (Chatta) Relan and Rosie Tucker; devoted mother to Joseph (Brenda) Maggio, Mark Maggio and Victor Maggio. She cherished her role as grandmother to Heather (Shawn) Van Antwerp, Stephanie (Eric) Baker, Michelle (Joseph) McNally, Ashley (Jake) Harvey, Brandon Maggio, Krystal Maggio, Michael (Alysia) Maggio, Morgan (Austin) Cina, Nicole Maggio and Matthew Maggio. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren: Conner, Madalyn and Mason Van Antwerp, Cameron Baker and Braeleigh and Caesyn Cina. She was also an aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Margaret's life was marked by her unwavering love for family and her gentle spirit. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength and the joy she brought to those around her. Margaret was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and served her parish faithfully throughout her life. She resided in Belvidere, Illinois, and was formerly a resident of Tickfaw, Louisiana.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services. A Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday. December 19, 2025, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital in her honor.
