Margaret J. "Peggy" Smith, age 60, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully Friday morning, October 7, 2005 in Swedish American Hospital after a short illness. Peggy was born September 6, 1945 in Batavia, Illinois, the daughter of Harry B. "Red" and Madalyn (Weiss) Andrews. She married George P. Smith on February 29, 1988 in Janesville, Wisconsin. Peggy was a bartender for many years at Mi Place in Belvidere. In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed trips to Elgin's Grand Victoria where she enjoyed playing Triple Diamond, her favorite machine. She also enjoyed time at the VFW playing Bingo; but most important to Peggy were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Survivors include her husband, George of Belvidere, IL, sons, Kenny (Sheri) Geiken of Belvidere, IL, Jeff (Gretchen) Geiken of Roscoe, IL, Joe (Mary) Geiken of Machesney Park, IL; daughter Laurie (Terry) Cunningham of Machesney Park, IL; sisters, Marilyn McCrillis of St. Charles, Il, Sally (B.J.) Larson of Lexington, OK and Bonnie (Ralph) Medder of St. Charles, IL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Peggy is predeceased by her parents and grandson Bradlee.
