Belvidere, IllinoisMargaret "Maggie" Eddy, 91 of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, October 6, 2009 in Maple Crest Nursing Home after a lingering illness. Maggie was born July 16, 1918 in Belvidere, IL the daughter of Albert and Alice (Raymond) Houdeshell. She married Merwin A. Eddy on February 3, 1937 in Rockford. Maggie was a member of St. Jon's United Church of Christ, Women of the Moose and was a homemaker who loved to bake and can.Survivors include her children, James (Edith) Eddy of Harvard and Alice Serrano of Marrero, LA, daughter in-law, Shirley Eddy of Belvidere, nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Maggie is predeceased by her husband Merwin, her son Gerald "Bud", two grandchildren and two brothers.

A memorial will be established in Margaret's name.
