Margaret B. Distaola, 102, of Belvidere, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Northwoods Care Centre. Born May 10, 1910 in Chicago; daughter of Joseph and Bertha Taylor. Was married to Anthony Distaola. Margaret had been a member at St. Williams Parrish where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and was known at one time to have grown the tallest sunflower in Beloit, WI. She also enjoyed making cabbage rolls for her family. She is survived by her beloved son Robert (Joan) Spurlin of Caledonia; several grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters Julie Rozelle and Elizabeth Taylor. Predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Elizabeth "Betty" Rigsby, brother Alvin Taylor, and sister Barbara Krambeer.
