Obituary

Lynne A. Hulstedt, 79, best known as Granny, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully with her family by her side Monday, February 15, 2021. Lynne was born August 20, 1941 in Belvidere the daughter of Roy and Evalyn (Linder) Peterson. She married the love of her life Gerald C. Hulstedt on May 3, 1962 in Belvidere. Lynne graduated from Belvidere High School at the top of her class in 1959. Lynne was a farmwife working along side her loving husband Gerald for 58 years. Lynne loved being around her friends and family, whether going to Johnny Pamcakes for breakfast, chasing steam trains, traveling out west, enjoying blue grass music and shopping with her sisters for a good bargain. She enjoyed going to drag races with Gerald as well as acquiring all things chicken themed. Lynne was a teacher at heart and loved spending time entertaining and educating all the children she knew. Lynne loved all of her children and grandchildren and above all she was a faithful servant and loved the Lord. Lynne made her spiritual home at Evangelical Covenant Church in Belvidere. She will be missed by all.

She is loved and missed by her husband, Gerald; son, Gregory (Jane) Hulstedt; daughter-in-law, Michelle Hulstedt; grandchildren, Erika, Katie (Joseph), Sarah, Heidi (Adan), Wyatt, Garrett; great-grandchild, Charlotte; siblings, Jill (Dennis), Andrea (Steve), Cedric (Vicki), Rory; sister-in-law, Dianna; brothers-in-law, Stan and Lee, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Lynne is preceded in death by her parents; son, Grant J. Hulstedt; siblings, Sheryll (Ray), Maureen, Diane and Kurt.

The Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Evangelical Covenant Church, 220 E. Harrison Street, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Scott Nellis and Rev Wes Hulstedt co-officiating. The walk-through visitation will be held Friday, February 19, 2021 from 2:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. at the church, please enter the East Harrison entrance. Due to State guidelines facemasks and social distancing required. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Carpenter's Place.
