Our Dad "Soupy" as his childhood friends knew him enjoyed a long life and had many friends and family in which he enjoyed spending his time with. He owned a small home in Union Center which turned into our hunting and card playing epicenter. Many friends would be at the house as soon as his truck arrived. Many times, his neighbor John would have the lawn mowed or the snow plowed so as not to waste precious card playing time! The group of friends from Union Center were a big part of his life and he truly appreciated everyone and so many good times and laughter in that house. Cousins, family and friends were there everyday when he was in town and they took care of the home and kept watch when he wasn't. In 2020 we put the house on the map and painted it a color green that could probably be seen from the space station! We did make the "correction" two weeks later and brought the value of the community back into sync! Some of the things he taught us or said over the years: 1. Never pass the opportunity to use the bathroom 2. Buy the best quality for the price 3. Save your money (He saved a ton of dimes!) 4. Work hard everyday 5. Do what you say you are going to do 6. Earn your own money 7. Don't talk ill of other people 8. What's trump? 9. Got a lot going on 10. Sometimes it's easier to roll over!
