Lynell Carter, 75, of Belvidere, IL, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on July 2nd, 2023. She was born on August 10th, 1947 in Evansville, WI, to Walter and Helen (Griffith) Powers. Lynell married Bill Carter on September 28th, 1968, in Belvidere IL, and together they shared 54 years of marriage. She was a member of the Belvidere Kingdom Hall Church. Lynell loved planting flowers and was gifted at gardening, winning yard of the month three times.

Lynell is loved and will be missed by her husband, Bill; son, Joel Carter; and siblings, Larry (Sharon) Powers, Sandra (Dan) Little, Susan Berkowitz, Tom Powers, and Ted (Sandy) Powers. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Carter; and parents, Walter and Helen.

Lynell's visitation will be held July 14th, 2023 at 9am at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 West Hurlbut St., Belvidere, IL 61008. Services will be held at 11am, with interment to follow at Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belvidere Kingdom Hall.
