Lyle J.
Sherman
December 7, 1942 – March 19, 2025
Lyle J. Sherman, 82, of Poplar Grove, IL, passed away at home March 19, 2025. He was born December 7, 1942, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, son to Henry "Hank" and Thelma (Giffey) Sherman. Lyle married Linda (Butler) Sherman on July 7th, 1990. He worked at Cassens as a mechanic until he retired. He was a member of the Coon Creek Casters Fishing Club and Teamsters local union 325. His interests included fishing, staying busy by whatever needed to be done in the garage or around the house, and especially helping others. He would always drop what he was doing to lend a helping hand. He would end the day winding down watching Jeopardy then the local news followed by whatever sport that was on the TV that night. Lyle started each day with his early morning walks followed by sitting out on the porch with his cup of coffee while taking in his surroundings.
