Luella M. Waite, 85, of Belvidere, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 in her home following a sudden illness. Born in Sandwich, Illinois, March 10, 1920, the daughter of Louis and Ella (Whitney) Mall. She has lived in Belvidere since 1964, coming here from Sandwich. She married Jacque E. Waite in Crawfordsville, Ind. On November 22, 1946. Over the years she was a Registered Nurse and was employed by Highland Hospital, Maple Crest Nursing Home and Dr. Dommer's office retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Volunteer group at Maple Crest Nursing Home and a volunteer at Keen Age Center. She was very active physically by walking, swimming, dancing and shopping. She is a graduate of Sandwich High School and Illinois Masonic Hospital School of Nursing. Surviving are sons, Patrick (Kathy), of Capron, Ill.; Joe (Ruth), of Elgin, Ill.; David (Linda)Waite, of Hampshire, Ill.; and daughter, Denise (Albert) Becker, of Virginia Beach, VA; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Vivian McMaster, of Prophetstown, Ill.; Verian Cassell, Sandwich, Ill. She is preceded in death by parents, 2 sisters, Izetta Hanson and Margaret Reinhart and 2 brothers, Franklin and Charles Mall.
