Lucille Stroud, 89, of Caledonia, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Highview in the Woodlands, Rockton. Born June 17, 1923 in Mohawk, TN; daughter of Estel and Flora (Ashley) Douthat. Married Lester Stroud on December 23, 1946 in Greenville, Tennessee. Lucille loved to quilt and garden, but her passion was taking care of her family. Member of Fairview Baptist Church in Mohawk, Tennessee. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Highland in the Woodlands and Beloit Regional Hospice for their compassionate care of Lucille.Survivors include her children Ronnie (Diana) Stroud of Mahomet, IL, Sammie Stroud of Caledonia, Terry (Linda) Stroud of Caledonia, and Tammy (Bob Livingston) Stroud of Rockford; grandchildren Nicole (Jamey) Fry, Eric and Jason Stroud, Christy (Steven) Henson, Jessica and Jamie Stroud, Brandon Stroud, Amanda, Rachel, and Alex Livingston, great-grandchildren Ellie, Hanna and MacKenzie, sisters Frances (Charles) McPherson of Whitesburg, TN, Juanita Warrick of Knoxville, TN, Shirley Jones of Moshiem, TN, brother Rex (Ruth) Douthat of Mohawk, TN, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, husband Lester, sisters Jo Edna Fancher, Colleen Lawson, Peggy Stroud, brothers J.C. and Hal Douthat.

Donations may be given to the family to establish a memorial in Lucille's name.
