Lucille A. Larson, 89, of Rockford and formerly of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Thursday afternoon, July 3rd, 2008 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Lucille was born January 8, 1919 in Belvidere, the daughter of Oscar and Olive (Walquist) Anderson. She married Clarence L. Larson on December 6, 1943 in Belvidere. Lucille was a homemaker and worked in the office at K-Mart for 10 years retiring in 1981. In her spare time she enjoyed being a member of the Sons of Norway Valhall Lodge 168 in Machesney Park, the ladies auxiliary and seniors group of the Harmony Singing Society and was a avid Chicago Cub Fan. Lucille was a member of the Sarah Circle and was the most senior member of the choir at Zion Lutheran Church where she was a life long member.Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Rockford; children, Chris (Mary Alice "Sam") Larson of Rockford, Gordon (Anna) Larson of St. Charles, Janice (James) Rush of Poplar Grove, Julie Larson of Chicago; sisters, Doris Exner of Belvidere, Helen Butler of Rockford; brother, Floyd (Marie) Anderson of Belvidere; eight grandchildren, Charlie Larson, Sarah Larson, Jacob (Dorothy) Rush, Julia Rush, Jordyn Rush, David Larson, Christine Larson, Stacey Larson; three great-grandchildren, Nick, Aaliyah, Jade; many nieces and nephews.Lucille is predeceased by her parents and daughter, Kathryn Babbitt.
A memorial will be established in Lucille's name in care of her family.
