IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Luceba (Cebe)
Marie Pfluger
January 4, 1938 – May 19, 2024
Luceba (Cebe) Marie Pfluger, 86, of Garden Prairie, IL, passed away peacefully, May 19, 2024, in Rockford. She was born January 4, 1938, in Belvidere, IL, to parents Charles and Delores (Brooks) Littlejohn. Luceba was a graduate of Belvidere High School. She married her sweetheart, the late Burton Pfluger on September 9, 1956 in Belvidere. Burt and Cebe owned and operated Burt Pfluger Trucking, a cattle hauling business; Cebe drove semis, often arguably better than most of the men in Boone County. She also helped with the family farming operation. She went on to work as a rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for several years. Cebe belonged to First United Methodist Church in Belvidere. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and loved organ music. She and Burt would often travel to see organists perform and enjoyed taking trips with other Farm Bureau members to various events. Among one of their many trips was an annual boating outing on which they would travel from Dubuque, IA to LaCrosse, WI on their boat via the Mississippi River with several others from the Belvidere area.
Luceba is loved and dearly missed by her daughter, Anita (John) Feltes; grandchildren, Stephanie Feltes, Ashley (Mitch) Maas, Matthew Feltes and great-grandchild, Avalyn Maas.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burton; and sister Rogene.
Luceba's visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A funeral service will follow at noon with burial at Belvidere Cemetery. Rev. Jim Bell will officiate. The family of Luceba would like to thank the staff of Morningstar Village, Alpine Fireside and Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Flora Grange or Heartland Hospice. To leave a condolence, please visit www.andersonfcs.com.
