Lorraine F. Knutson, 66, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 5, 2014 in the home of her sister Vicki, after a lingering illness.  Lorraine was born November 26, 1948 in Amery, WI the daughter of Harry B. and Ruth M. (Peterson) Knutson; her father nicknamed her "Topper". Over the years, Lorraine worked as a personal care attendant in Belvidere.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and loved children, particularly babies.  She was a collector of glass shoes, porcelain dolls and cat figurines; and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of IOV Ellida #25. Lorraine liked to laugh; she was a happy person who overcame many challenges in life; and had a strong will to live.

Lorraine is loved and will be missed by her sisters and brothers, Inez Satter of Pecatonica, IL, Sandra (Thomas) Werner of Menomonie, WI, Victoria (Stanley) Cronk of Cherry Valley, IL, Raymond (Sally) Knutson of Davis Junction, IL, Harlen (Lorna) Knutson of Menomonie, WI; sister in-law, Janice Knutson of Belvidere, IL; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; dear friends, Debbie Love and Judy O'Leary.  Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oris (Elizabeth), Wesley (Alvinia), Gaylon, Delmer, Richard; sisters, Marion.

The family acknowledges the dedication and special care given to Lorraine by Dr. Richard Nora and staff of OSF Center for Cancer Care, we are ever grateful.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2104 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, Il with Rev. Amy Poust, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating.  Memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to service time Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation rites have taken place, burial of Lorraine's cremated remains will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Menomonie, WI.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to the Boone County Council on Aging, Keen Age Center or the OSF Center for Cancer Care, expansion project; in care of Lorraine's family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
