Lorraine Michelle Gant, 45, of DeKalb, Illinois died Tuesday morning June 6, 2006 in Kishwaukee Hospital. Lorraine was born January 18, 1961 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret (Brimelow) Gant. While having authentic physical challenges, she was never disabled. She participated in mission trips to the Philippines and always put other people first. Lorraine was commonly seen traveling in her motorized wheel chair with her trusty companion "Rusty". Those who were blessed enough to know Lorraine realize that they are better and more complete for knowing her.Lorraine was deeply rooted in her faith and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.Survivors include her sister, Lisa Gant; brother, Larry (Marti) Gant; nephews, Lawrence Gant, Aaron Gant, Gabriel Gant; step-mother Diane Gant; step-grandmother Ruby Kramoski; beloved pet Rusty; special friends, Chris McGinnis, Sherry Holmes, Cheryl and Dick Wisdom and Maggie. Lorraine is predeceased by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to "Tails" Animal Shelter in Lorraine's name.
