Lorraine F.
Babcock, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home on January 2, 2019. She was
born December 23, 1929 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin the daughter of Walter H. and
Clara (Ruud) Fink. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. She married Richard
Babcock on January 21, 1950 in Beloit.

Lorraine worked
as a packager for Dean Foods, retiring in 1990 after 25 years. She loved traveling,
watching birds, spending time outside working as well as spending time in Texas
during her winters. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family
and friends. Lorraine made her spiritual home at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere.


Lorraine is survived by her nine children: Patti (Mike)Key, Richard B. (Sue) Babcock, Katherine (Charles) Balmes, Louise Babcock, Philip (Tina) Babcock, Peter (Sherri) Babcock, Therese (Mike) Crookshank; Judy (Rick) Hutchinson; Paul (Christie) Babcock; brother-in-law, Robert (Jean) Babcock; sister-in-law, Beula Fink; as well as 25 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to acknowledge the
many foreign exchange students who were part of their family, especially Lonk
Guzman from Ecuador.

Lorraine was
preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Charles Babcock; daughter, Mary
Frances; granddaughter, Mary Kate; siblings, Robert Fink, Roger Fink, Eloda (Robert) Phelps; and daughter-in-law,
Neva Babcock.

Funeral
services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church Street,
Belvidere, on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held
at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut, Belvidere on Monday
January 7, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Highland Garden of
Memories.

In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be given to the family to establish a scholarship in Lorraine's
name.
