Lori J. Turner, 63, of Belvidere, Il passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Swedish American Hospital surrounded with the love of her family.  Lori was born February 16, 1955 in Belvidere, the daughter of James L and Marilyn J. (Murley) Turner.  She graduated from Belvidere High School in 1973 where she was the school's first Buccaneer.  Lori loved spending time as well as working on the family farm; she was a farm girl at heart.  She retired from the Belvidere Water Department.  Lori was a member of the Flora Grange; she enjoyed gardening and was known for her extensive pumpkin display each fall, auctions "Treasure hunting", ponies and mowing.  Lori was truly a best friend to many.  She was always there to help you out.

Lori is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Danielle; mother, Marilyn; sisters, Teri Keegan, Julie Turner and Nancy (Mike) Hearn; nieces and nephews, Kelli (Ben) Knaup, Dustin (Kathy) Turner, Stacey (Scott) Barnes, Ali Hearn and Luke (Leslie) Hearn; great nieces and nephew, Emma and Sam Knaup and Austin Barnes; aunts, Marlene Smiley and Beverly Gibson and cousins; as well as her beloved cats, Cooners and Tessy.  Lori is predeceased by her father, Jim Turner and brother in-law, Rock Keegan and aunt, Shirley Craig

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL.  Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Turner farm, 8234 Lawrenceville Road, Garden Prairie.  Burial in Lawrenceville Cemetery.  Lori preferred memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or for a memorial bench at the Boone County Fair Grounds in lieu of flowers in her name.  To share a remembrance please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
