Loretta A. Lange, 78, of Belvidere, died Friday, August 27, 2010 in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 10, 1932 in rural Jo Daviess, County, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin J. and Kate (Yackey) Bohnsack. Loretta married Vincent E. Lange in Galena, Illinois on June 3, 1950. They have lived in Belvidere since 1968. She is a member of St. James Catholic Church, Belvidere. Loretta is survived by her husband, Vincent, of Belvidere; a daughter, Sandi (Terry) Aldershof, of Rockford; two sons, Larry (Loretta) Lange, of Belvidere and David (Sue) Lange of Rockford; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, and a grandson. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Lucietto, O.S.F. Hospice and Northwoods Care Center for their care during the last few months of Loretta's life.
