Belvidere, IllinoisLoretta E. Burton, 87, of Belvidere, IL died late Saturday evening, March 29, 2008 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness. Loretta was born June 28, 1920 in Marengo, IL the daughter of Otto E. and Caroline L. (Wier) Genz. She graduated from Marengo High School in 1938, and married Lowell Burton in April of 1957. She retired from the Sanitary Scale Co. in 1985 after 42 years of service.Loretta is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers and sister.
