Lorene M. Ackerman, 79, of Belvidere, Illinois, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in West Valley Hospital , Goodyear Arizona from complications after open heart surgery. She was born in Belvidere on October 24, 1931; the daughter of Fred and Aletha (Green) Ackerman. Lorene was a graduate of Belvidere High School , class of 1949. She excelled as an Avon Sales Representative for over 50 years. Lorene was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. She is survived by her niece, Beth (Frank) Granville, Waddell, Arizona; two grand-nephews, Brandon Carter (10), Everett Granville (5) and one grand-niece Taylor Granville (5), all of Waddell, Arizona; and many special friends including, Melvin and Maxine Volkman, Virginia Tice and Carolyn Poole.
