Belvidere, IllinoisLoraine M. Volk, 91, of Belvidere, Il died Monday afternoon, January 12, 2009 in Northwoods Care Center. Loraine was born June 2, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI the daughter of Alfred and Margaret Batstone. She married Harold A. Volk on January 20, 1937 in Milwaukee. She was a member of the Boone Co. Historical Society, Belvidere Woman's club and was a life member of Nette Y. Kenny O.E.S. where she was a past Worthy Matron.Survivors include her son, Derek (Barbara) Volk of Belvidere; daughter, Sharon Hill of Whitewater, WI; grandchildren, Christopher, Brian and Amy Hill.She predeceased by her parents, husband and sister, Mildred Tuckel.
