Lois Mae Lungstrom, 96, of Cherry Valley, IL , died peacefully April 18, 2025. She was born April 4, 1929, daughter to Burl and Olive (Welch) Warnes in Watertown, South Dakota. She married Earl Lungstrom on October 14, 1948 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Rockford, IL, She graduated from Muldoon High School and was a homemaker. She attended St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL and loved oil painting, crocheting and traveling.

Lois is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Debbie ( Gary) Klinefelter and son,  Russell (Mary) Sue) Lungstrom; siblings, Sherry ( Gerald) Schultz, Mary Ellen Kinsman and Bonnie Roosevelt; grandchildren, Shane (Michelle) Fitch, Amy (Billy Gardner), Jeremy (Carrie) Klinefelter, Jennifer (Chad) Bentley, Melinda (Corey) Lucchesi, Mark ( Jennifer) Lungstrom, Mitchell (Frederick Folz) Lungstrom, Jessica (Jon Lowery) Lungstrom and Daniel Lungstrom; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughter, Terry Watters; son, Thomas Lungstrom; granddaughter, Maureen Lungstrom; sister, Faye Delmore; and parents, Olive and Burl Warnes.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2025, at St. James Church, 402 Church St, Belvidere, IL 61008. Rev William Schuessler will officiate. Burial at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere. Memorials in her honor to St. James Church.
