Lois Irene "Snooks" (Gould) Hughes died peacefully, Thursday morning, April 26, 2012 in her home. Lois was born December 18, 1930 in Poplar Grove, IL the daughter of Frank Edwin and Emma May (Leggett) Gould. She married Jack Arthur Hughes on December 26, 1948. Lois is loved and will be missed by her daughters Kathleen Hughes, Rickee Haenitsch, Roxanne (David) Drake, Karen Hughes, Tammy Sharpe; son Aron "Pat" (Melissa) Hughes; goddaughter Nancy Crout Lovesee; 26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren; nieces Becky (Willie) Goldsmith, Judy Vince, Jill McTague, June Gould, Patricia (Roger) Larkin, Julie (Jim) Cannegieter; nephews Richard (Marge) Yerk and Robert (Mary) Gould; brother-in-law Joe (Joyce) Hughes. Lois is predeceased by her parents, stepfather Herman Otto Kaiser; husband Jack, daughter Wendy Cash; son Timothy Hughes; great-grandson Ethyn Hill; brothers Elbert Gould, Robert Gould, Frank Gould, Jr.; sisters Ruth Chudoba, Dorothy Langley.Special thanks to Mark at Provena Cor Mariae, staff at OSF St. Anthony Hospital, and her family at Grand Victorian.
