Garden Prairie, IllinoisLloyd W. Nimtz, 86, formerly of Garden Prairie, IL went to be with his Lord, Wednesday Noon, July 26, 2006 at Provena Cor Mariae. Lloyd was born March 6, 1920 in Spring Township, rural Garden Prairie, the son of Herman and Minnie (Builte) Nimtz. He attended Curtis Country School. He married Louise Scheidecker of Hinckley on February 24, 1951. Lloyd was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Before Lloyd retired he operated the family farm, where he was born, and did carpentry work. In 2003 Lloyd and Louise moved to the Bickford House in Rockford. Survivors include his wife, Louise of Rockford; nephew Roy Nimtz of DeKalb, great nephew, Roy Nimtz, Jr. of DeKalb; great nieces, Terry Schuster of Waterloo, IA, Theresa Elliott of Sycamore, IL, Vicki Washer of Kirkland, Donna Zenzen of DeKalb; special nephew and niece, Dale (Sharon) Evans of Bellingham, WA and Linda (Bob) Kavalunas of Crown Point, IN.Lloyd is predeceased by his parents and brother, Harold Nimtz.
